Job summary

Horizon Credit Union in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a friendly Member Service Center Representative to assist members by phone, email, and chat with account questions, product information, and basic transactions. You will cross-sell services while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and about one year of related experience; strong communication and computer skills are essential, with opportunities for growth within the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
• Thorough knowledge of credit union's computer system for basic input/output tasks.
• Related work experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Researches and solves member questions, problems, and complaints concerning credit union accounts.
• Cross-sells credit union products and services; processes basic financial transactions for members including opening/closing accounts, issuing checks, transfers, certificates and drafts, and stop payments.
• Responds to routine member inquiries regarding accounts, services, discrepancies and feature changes.
• Operates computer to post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and update records.
• Assists members with information on safety deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, money orders, IRA contributions and loan questions.
• Provides information and troubleshooting support for Visa debit, credit and ATM cards.
• Supports E-services for members and staff.
• Performs other member service tasks and assists coworkers as needed.
• Keeps all member and employee information confidential.
