Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to greet members and guests, promote memberships and programs, and maintain a welcoming lobby. The role emphasizes listening to needs, guiding choices, and providing accurate information.

You will conduct facility tours, process enrollments, manage guest access, and support team reporting while upholding safety and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups of people.
• Prior customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 30 days.
• Complete YMCA New Employee Orientation e-learning.
• Complete Creating The Member Experience within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Meet and greet individuals entering the facility.
• Promote memberships and programs to members and guests.
• Give tours and sell memberships based on interests.
• Create a welcoming membership experience and encourage participation.
• Handle membership concerns and escalate unresolved issues.
• Perform data entry and process enrollments and cancellations.
• Register guests and verify membership cards for access.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the reception area.
