Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Membership Engagement Specialist-A/R to ensure accurate processing of open accounts receivable functions, including payments, refunds, adjustments, and inquiries. You will support scholarship campaigns, reconcile ledgers, and collaborate with Family Centers to resolve balances and renewals, while delivering excellent member service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires detail orientation, strong communication, and bilingual abilities in English

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in assisting accounting, office, or business operations.
• Experience in AR collections or customer support is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Salesforce or Zuora experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain collections process to minimize delinquent account losses and renewals.
• Process membership account payments and reconcile cash, checks, refunds, online program payments, and card payments.
• Prepare and analyze various AR related reports.
• Communicate collection issues with related departments and management.
• Provide support for incoming calls related to membership and program accounts.
• Contact members with outstanding payments to maximize collection efforts.
• Collect and enter payments and update EFT information.
• Assist in the organization and execution of the annual scholarship campaign operations.
• Assist in daily program support for the community with emphasis on schools and sports.
• Act as liaison to Family Centers on account balances and renewals.
• Provide guidance to members on policies related to balances and memberships.
• Participate in account reviews.
• Promote YMCA mission and core values.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• All other duties as assigned.
