Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a Membership Manager at West Suburban YMCA in Wauwatosa, WI. This full-time position oversees daily operations of the membership department, supervises staff, and ensures excellent member service while maintaining policies and safety.

Responsibilities include training staff, using Daxko for member processing, implementing membership strategies, handling front desk procedures, and supporting fundraising and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in customer service.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to relate well to members and resolve issues.
• Strong organizational, oral, and written skills.
• Self-motivated with good decision-making and minimal supervision.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Demonstrates YMCA core values: caring, honesty, responsibility, respect.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the membership department.
• Train and schedule membership staff; fill gaps as needed.
• Implement and update front desk procedures; coordinate with the business office on financials.
• Ensure proper cash handling and balance cash receipts.
• Learn and utilize Daxko to process member applications, terminations, renewals, and payments.
• Collaborate on membership strategies to recruit and retain members.
• Provide excellent member service and resolve issues promptly.
• Act as Membership Director in their absence.
• Train and manage staff; evaluate performance and motivate the team.
• Support fundraising and community events; comply with safety procedures.
