Job summary

The YMCA in Wausau, WI is seeking an Entry Level Member Service Associate to welcome and assist members and guests. The role focuses on helping members with memberships, registrations, and information requests at the Welcome Center.

You will work with staff to ensure a positive member experience, handle calls and emails, and maintain a clean, secure and friendly front desk area. Training on DAXKO and YMCA tools is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y, on the phone, and by email.
• Must be proficient in the use of DAXKO (training provided), the YMCA website, and the Y360 APP in the areas of locating information, membership sales, and program registration.
• Must have a strong knowledge of all membership types, programs, policies and processes.
• Effectively manage all incoming telephone calls, which includes proper greetings, routing and paging.
• Safeguard the Welcome Center desks, cash drawer and safe at all times. Accurately account for all monies received during shift and deposit in safe.
• Ability to work as part of a team, to create a welcoming and supportive environment for members and staff.
• Help to maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized Welcome Center area.
• Working knowledge of the facility to provide clear and accurate guidance to members.
• Be familiar with building safety and emergency procedures, our area, and offerings at the other branch.
• Maintains a professional and welcoming appearance by following YMCA dress code standards.
• Must attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Director.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Member Service Associates are responsible for creating a welcoming experience for all members and guests in a friendly, helpful and professional manner.
