Job summary

Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland is seeking a Member Experience Lead to design and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience for prospective and new members, guiding them from initial interest through the first year of membership.

This role serves as the front door of the member relationship, creating welcoming, personalized experiences, leading tours, coordinating onboarding programs and events, and partnering with departments to connect members with the right programs and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in onboarding, member experience, hospitality, or related field.
• Experience designing programs that welcome and engage new members.
• Experience leading tours or member-facing events.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, personalized tours for prospective members.
• Refine tour experiences to convey the value of membership.
• Tailor onboarding experiences to individual interests (athletics, fitness, wellness, social activities).
• Train and support team members delivering tours and onboarding.
• Design and manage onboarding programs and communications.
• Track onboarding success metrics and gather feedback for improvement.
• Connect new members with programs, staff, and fellow members.
• Partner with leadership to align onboarding with membership strategy.
