Job summary

Willoughby Golf Club seeks an experienced Director of Membership & Marketing to lead recruitment, retention and engagement, building strong relationships with members and prospective members while promoting traditions and exceptional member experience.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and strategic, with private club membership knowledge and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities include managing processes, communications, events, reports, budgets, and mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, communications, marketing, PR or business admin.
• Five+ years in private club management or luxury hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supervising a team and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead membership recruitment, retention and engagement initiatives.
• Promote hospitality, professionalism, collaboration and member experience.
• Develop initiatives for early participation and long-term engagement.
• Partner with GM/COO and leaders to advance community goals.
• Manage membership applications, interviews, tours, and orientation.
• Coordinate membership communications, events and engagement activities.
• Maintain membership records and related systems.
• Prepare reports, track progress toward goals and assist with budgets.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Membership team.
