Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Member Experience Representative/Fire & Life Safety Director at Greenpoint YMCA. You will ensure a high‑quality member experience, process transactions, and maintain a safe, clean facility for guests and staff.

You will also support safety training, emergencies, and coordination with leadership. Role requires 3–5 years of customer service and CPR/AED; a Fire Safety Directors Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of customer service experience.
• Fire Safety Directors Certificate required.
• Must be CPR and AED qualified.
• Working knowledge of branch operations.
• Excellent service and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, provide a positive experience in person and by phone.
• Process memberships, registrations, and facility access accurately.
• De-escalate situations and uphold YMCA standards.
• Provide tours and information to members and prospective members.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and security of the facility.
• Coordinate with Director on shifts and important operational directives.
• Train staff on safety and emergency procedures.
