Job summary

The Greenpoint YMCA in Brooklyn is hiring a Member Experience Representative/Fire Life Safety Director to deliver outstanding service in person and by phone. You will process memberships, facility access, and program registrations while maintaining a safe, welcoming facility.

Responsibilities include customer service, incident documentation, and fire prevention training. CPR/AED certification and Fire Safety Director credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Three to five years of customer service experience.
• Fire Safety Directors Certificate required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; adept at working with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members, process transactions, and ensure a positive member experience.
• Address security operations and document incidents; act as liaison with Building Manager for follow-up.
• Train staff and guests on fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure safety and respond to emergencies in coordination with first responders.
