Job summary

Blackhawk Community Credit Union seeks a member-facing teller to welcome members, promote financial education, and efficiently handle deposits, loans, and service requests. You will process transactions, secure assets, and maintain member confidentiality while providing high-quality service.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, knowledge of BHCCU products, and compliance with BSA/AML/CFT policies, with opportunities to refer members to appropriate staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent knowledge/abilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2 years teller experience or experience recommending products to improve a customer’s financial position preferred.
• Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations preferred.
• Pass the pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service that promotes financial education and accurately process inquiries, account openings, loan applications, service requests, and transactions.
• Utilize expert knowledge to open consumer and business deposit accounts and to identify member needs with loans following underwriting criteria.
• Balance transactions, secure assets, and complete required reports.
• Follow BSA/AML/CFT procedures and complete required AML training.
