Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare seeks a Member Engagement Specialist to coordinate engagement efforts and assist members in accessing services and scheduling appointments. This role bridges members with programs across the organization to ensure eligibility and timely care.

The position is full-time and temporary (4-5 months) with a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite/3 days remote). It emphasizes outreach, documentation, and collaboration with care teams to improve access to healthcare.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required.
• At least 2 years of clerical/customer service experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts outreach activities to help members initiate or maintain engagement with Neighborhood Healthcare services, including patient registration, appointments, program enrollments and benefits information.
• Communicates details related to patient appointments with members.
• Tracks and documents kept appointments by patients.
• Provides Medicare enrollment and benefit information to eligible members.
• Tracks, reviews, and processes all member engagements and referrals in logs/EMR.
