Job summary

Minot Young Men's Christian Association in Minot, ND is seeking a Service Desk Attendant to support members, greet guests, process memberships, and promote YMCA programs from the front desk. Under the direction of the Membership Director, you will handle inquiries, provide information about activities, and maintain a clean, welcoming reception area.

Certifications required within 30 days: CPR/AED and First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred, but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.
• Above-average verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all members, guests, volunteers, and staff in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
• Answer the telephone, provide requested information, direct calls, and take accurate messages.
• Provide membership interviews and facility tours as needed, explaining the YMCA mission, volunteer opportunities, campaigns, and financial assistance.
• Process new member ID cards, issue guest passes and register members for programs and services.
• Assist in maintenance and laundry duties to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general cleanliness of service desk areas.
