Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and FirstAid.
• Working knowledge of health and fitness principles.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
• Familiarize with YMCA rules and policies within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and refer to staff for training needs.
• Respond to members' needs and handle complaints professionally.
• Monitor wellness areas, provide orientations, and assist workouts.
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of Training Center areas.
• Maintain equipment and understand safety procedures.
• Lead members in exercises at their level and act as a spotter.
