Job summary

Interra Credit Union is seeking a Member Consultant I to assist members with a variety of banking services, educate on products, and provide high-quality service. You will float to multiple branch locations within Region One or Region Two during onboarding, supporting staff as needed and covering shifts to meet branch needs.

The role emphasizes problem resolution, accurate balancing, and building strong member relationships while adhering to regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service in banking, retail, or related field.
• Professional level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a team environment and interact positively with peers and management.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive member experience by cultivating and maintaining relationships in person or via phone or other channels.
• Assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments; handle sales of money orders and traveler's checks.
• Maintain cash drawer security and balance cash daily; assist with branch closeout.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and educate members on credit union products and services.
• Provide support to other branches, including weekends or extended hours as needed.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
