Job summary

Interra Credit Union is seeking a Member Consultant I to assist members with a wide range of banking services and educate them on products. You will perform account transactions, balance cash drawers, and support branch operations while maintaining excellent member service.

The role involves floating to different branch locations during onboarding and possibly working weekends to meet branch staffing needs. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years customer service experience in banking, retail, or related field required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and memorable member experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate.
• Balance cash drawer and daily transactions; assist with daily balancing and closing out of the branch.
• Receive and process member savings, checking and credit transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments; sell money orders and traveler's checks.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and educate members on credit union products and services.
• Provide support to other branches; work weekends/extended hours as required; adhere to policies and regulations.
• Comply with all company policies and applicable laws, including BSA/Patriot Act and OFAC.
