Job summary

Interra Credit Union is seeking a Member Advisor I to support daily branch operations, assist with opening accounts, and provide superior customer service. You will back up Account Representatives, participate in audits, and help coordinate schedules and meetings across the branch network.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, strong knowledge of internal controls, and collaboration with the Retail Branch Manager to ensure accurate cash handling and overall branch performance.

Responsibilities

• Back up contact for opening New Accounts (Checking, Savings, CD’s, IRA’s, Safe Deposit Boxes and Night Deposit Agreements).
• Cross-sell the bank’s products and services.
• Back‑up and assist Account Representatives on daily cash totals for main office and branches with data center.
• Back‑up Vault attendant.
• Oversee branch capture process on a daily basis.
• Balance ATM as needed.
• Prepare monthly personnel work schedules.
• Provide feedback to Manager of Retail Operations for performance reviews.
• Participate in department and bank wide staff meetings.
• May be called upon to make officer calls and participate in community organizations.
• Must be knowledgeable of all internal controls.
• Perform monthly security alarm checks.
• Perform monthly audit of vault cash and quarterly audit of teller and ATM cash as needed.
• Responsible for opening and closing branch as needed.
• Responsible for training and developing branch personnel.
• First point of contact for teller questions/issues.
• Prepare and facilitate monthly branch meetings with help from Manager of Retail Operations.
• Assist on teller line as needed.
