Job summary

GreenState Credit Union in North Liberty, IA is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to provide quality service, balance cashier drawers, and process member transactions. You will greet members, handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, and promote appropriate credit union products.

This role requires accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence. Hours include Mon/Wed/Fri and some Saturday shifts; a bilingual pay program is available for qualifying

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union in a positive way.
• High energy with the ability to engage with members and build rapport.
• Thorough knowledge of deposit products and regulations.
• Accuracy in cash handling and daily transaction recording.
• Good telephone manners and communication techniques.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment.
• Member account problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships in a team.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Cash handling, sales, and customer service experience is desired.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision.
• Demonstrates a positive member service focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact, using their name when possible.
• Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and the completion of duties.
• Ensures confidentiality of member information.
• Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Maintains a satisfactory balancing record.
• Educates members and staff on the features and benefits of products and services.
• Refs products to meet members' needs and team goals.
• Performs member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, and more.
• Balances, maintains, and corrects cash recyclers and coin machines.
• Assists in security procedures and securing confidential information at day end.
• Opens and closes the MSR area and completes daily balancing and reconciliation.
