Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Welcome Center Representative at the Charles River YMCA. This part-time position involves member check-in, sales of memberships and programs, answering calls, and guiding members through policies. Weekend and afternoon/evening shifts available; compensation is $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent member service and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of YMCA policies and procedures and ability to convey them to members.

Responsibilities

• Present a welcoming and friendly demeanor when greeting and serving members and program participants.
• Arrive on time and be ready to work in uniform with YMCA name tag.
• Enforce YMCA safety and membership policies at all times.
• Be willing to substitute for shifts and work opening/closing/weekend coverage.
• Conduct prospective member tours as needed.
• Handle member and non-member phone calls per YMCA policies.
• Process cashing out and balance daily transactions.
• Maintain an orderly workspace and assist in emergencies.
