Job summary

Horizon Credit Union is seeking a Member Account Specialist to deliver exceptional member experiences and manage the full account opening process, including complex ownership types like IRA and trusts. The role emphasizes accurate verification, regulatory compliance, and strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include cross-selling deposit products, conducting outbound calls, and maintaining cash controls while navigating the core data system to support seamless omnichannel member

Qualifications

GED or high school diploma required; minimum six months financial institution or equivalent experience (sales, retail, opening new accounts)
Demonstrated ability to identify member needs, build relationships, and recommend products/services.

Responsibilities

Create a positive member experience in every interaction.
Own end-to-end membership and account opening process, including complex ownership types.
Verify cash transactions and balance cash drawers per standards; research discrepancies.
Open deposit accounts and cross-sell products to members; conduct outbound calls to promote services.
