Job summary

Georgia’s Own Credit Union seeks a Universal Banker I to join a dynamic team focused on exceptional member service. You will perform teller functions, assist with loans and account openings, and provide consultative product recommendations to members and potential members.

The role emphasizes building relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive, seamless member experience across in-person, phone, and digital channels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a financial branch or similar environment.
• Ability to communicate with members at all levels.
• Experience with loan applications and standard policies.
• Knowledge of lending and member service policies and procedures.
• Must pass a background check including credit, drug screen and criminal background.

Responsibilities

• Greet members in person, over the phone, or digitally and make them feel valued.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan/credit card payments, and other transactions.
• Open and close Consumer and Business Membership accounts.
• Advise on deposit products and loan options based on member needs.
• Educate members on services and credit union differences.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
