Georgia’s Own Credit Union in Alabama is seeking a Universal Banker I who blends teller duties with sales to deliver exceptional member service. You will open accounts, process transactions, assist with loans, and promote credit union products while building lasting member relationships.

The role emphasizes asking consultative questions to identify financial needs, cross-selling deposits and loan options, and ensuring accurate documentation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a financial branch environment or similar retail/sales.
• Ability to communicate with members at all levels.
• Experience with loan applications and internal policies.
• Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, and credit union lending and member service policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide exceptional service in person, on the phone, or digitally.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan/credit card payments, and other transactions.
• Open and close consumer and business accounts; notarize as needed.
• Explain products and services and document member needs in the CRM/IRM system.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
