Job summary

Affinity Plus in Hopkins, MN seeks a Member Consultant to engage members across face-to-face, drive-thru, phones, mobile apps, chat, text, and video banking. You will recommend consumer lending and account products while helping with budgets and self-serve education.

You will handle opening new accounts, processing transactions, and supporting loan applications, with a focus on exceptional service and accurate documentation. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service or professional experience working with people.
• 1+ years of consumer lending experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate and resolve complex issues and situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to cross-sell products and services to members.
• Intermediate computer skills and multi-system navigation.

Responsibilities

• Open membership savings, checking, CDs, IRAs, and other accounts.
• Provide information and recommendations on services and products.
• Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications.
• Listen to member needs and match products to goals.
• Analyze financials and approve loans within limits or escalate.
• Guide members in budgeting and self-serve education.
• Process transactions accurately and process wire/ACH transfers.
• Support with debit/credit/gift cards and resolve issues.
