Job summary

Good Neighbors Credit Union invites applications for a Member Account Specialist. This on-site role focuses on onboarding new members, opening accounts, and assisting with account setups and questions. Expect daily, high-volume member interactions in person and over the phone, with emphasis on service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service experience, a mix of phone and in-person preferred.
• 1+ years of hands-on cash handling experience.
• Ability to travel between both branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Open an average of 8 -10 new accounts per day.
• Onboard new members, explaining the credit union ownership difference.
• Identify member needs and refer products or services that match those needs.
• Assist members with basic account questions, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Take an average of 10-15 calls per day, return voicemails, and respond to member inquiries in a timely manner.
• Support digital and electronic transactions, including online banking inquiries.
• Deliver high-quality, friendly, and professional service while representing the Good Neighbor Experience.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow all cash-handling and audit procedures.
