Job summary

Kymera International in Durham, NC is seeking a Melt Manager to lead the Melt Department and partner with Operations to deliver manufacturing results aligned with schedules and customer requirements.

You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement, oversee ERP-based routing changes, and develop a team of supervisors through structured training and coaching. Extensive manufacturing leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of manufacturing management experience in metals or chemicals.
• Experience with manufacturing resources planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication to lead location employees and present to customers.
• Proficiency with PC office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Melt Department; manage labor and safety.
• Ensure safety compliance and environmental regulations.
• Drive quality objectives through inspections and process control.
• Oversee ERP routing changes and OEE reporting.
• Coach and develop supervisors; manage overtime and training.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
