Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Melt Shop Supervisor to oversee hourly and non-exempt production personnel on the assigned shift. You will lead the team, assign work, monitor throughput and ensure quality while prioritizing safety and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, planning resource usage, and developing procedures. Prior supervisory experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Flexibility for holiday coverage and weekend duty.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach assigned personnel; perform annual and quarterly evaluations.
• Issue work assignments to Leads, Furnace Crews, and other staff to meet objectives.
• Plan work and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and quality; manage throughput and yield goals.
• Delegate assignments and follow up to ensure productive completion.
• Develop operating and maintenance procedures and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Conduct safety checks and coordinate with HSE for corrective actions.
• Review schedules, customer specs and daily reports to issue melt release forms.
