Job summary

ATI is hiring production operatives in Monroe, NC to support furnace set-up, running, tear down and material handling of electrodes. You will identify materials from molds, load and operate anneal furnaces, and maintain logs while following safety rules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and can pass IME and respirator screenings; forklift experience is a plus. ATI offers a challenging environment within materials science and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in set-up, run and tear down of furnaces.
• Identify material from molds.
• Load, operate and unload anneal furnaces.
• Transport and ship electrodes.
• Build/rebuild/repair Ladles, Launder Boxes and Stopper Rod Assemblies.
• Operate jib hoist and 5-ton crane.
• Operate launder box drier and stopper rod drier.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Weigh out heats in correct sequence.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Assist with raw materials, maintenance, remelt, and other duties as assigned.

• Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up, run and tear down of furnaces.
• Identify material coming out of molds.
• Load, operate and unload anneal furnaces.
• Transport and ship electrodes.
• Build, rebuild and repair Ladles, Launder Boxes and Stopper Rod Assemblies
• Operate jib hoist and the 5 ton crane
• Operate launder box drier and stopper rod drier.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Can up weighed out heats in correct sequence.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Assist raw materials, maintenance, remelt, etc., and other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required to pass IME screening
• Required to pass Respirator Protection screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fork truck experience.
• Use ordinary arithmetic, including fractions.
