Job summary

ATI is hiring a Manufacturing Associate to perform material handling, inspection, and shipping duties at the Pageland plant. The role includes operating and maintaining equipment, cross-training on various shop floor tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation and quality control.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of manufacturing experience, and strong basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and math aptitude required.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities needed.

Responsibilities

• Final Shear: identify plates by stamp number and re-identify material as needed.
• Final Shear: mark material for cut sizes, week numbers, and transfer tags.
• Final Shear: read and acknowledge test samples to be sheared.
• Final Shear: maintain data in the Tandem system (record, accept, reject materials).
• Final Inspector: perform non-destructive testing and inspection of high-temperature alloys.
• Final Inspector: maintain records and identify alloys to specifications.
• Shipping/Mark and Pack: plan and execute packing and shipping per orders and schedules.
• Shipping/Mark and Pack: ensure documentation and compliance prior to shipment.
• Additional Responsibilities: perform other duties as directed by management.

The Manufacturing Associate will perform a variety of tasksthroughout the Pageland plantandacquireskills on the shop floor through cross training and job rotations.Associate will perform the summarized jobs listed below.

• Material handling

Final Shear

• Identifyplates by stamp number, and re-identifymaterial as needed.
• Accurately mark material for cut sizes, roll week number, transfer tags and circle stamp.
• Read & acknowledge test samples to be sheared.
• Responsible formaintainingaccuratedata in theTandem System(interpret, record, accept, reject materials).
• Responsible for setting knife up,maintainknives changes, and completing daily knives inspection.
• Support preventative maintenance of machine bymaintainingroutine inspections, greasing, and oiling shear parts, and otheractivitiesas necessary.

Final Inspector

• Perform a variety of non-destructive testing and inspection duties on high-temperature alloys following established methods and procedures.
• Prepare andmaintainall required records and reports in prescribed form and detail.
• Identifyalloy to insure orderedspecifications.
• Mark andidentifydefective items following acceptedpractices.
• Check completed items for compliance with pertinent dimensional, hardness, material coding and identification, generalhardness,and otherspecifications.
• Release accepted materials forpacking.

Shipping /Mark and Pack:

• Work from mill orders, sales orders, purchase orders, and schedules to plan and execute packing and shipping of customer orders.
• Work withalldepartmentareasto ensure proper documentation and compliance to specifications prior to shipment.
• Separate previous day bill of ladings into individual copies.
• Compile all documents from mill order traveler jackets for previous day shipments and distribute them toappropriate personnel.
• Separate the previous days shipping weight tickets and distribute them to theappropriate personnel.
• Responsible for proper loading,packaging,unloading, and securing of intracompany material transfers.
• Read and understand purchase orders, bills of lading, and mill order travelers when receiving material.
• Weigh material and record on shipping tag.
• Visually inspect for conformance of product to customer requirements.
• Complete packaging of metal to customer per special instructions and customer requirements.
• Use computer system to begin and end operations following all mill and technical instructions.
• Operatespectrotestalloy identification machine by using proper mode and grade of alloy.
• Recalibrate machine with test samples on a routine basis and per quality controlprocedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform any other duties asrequiredand directed by management.
