Job summary

HNTB is seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the development and execution of the project management plan for mega and super mega infrastructure projects in the Greater Houston area. You will oversee contracting, controls, quality, risk and change management while building strong client relationships.

The role requires guiding multidisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and delivering projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12 years of experience including mega and/or super mega project delivery.
Experience leading complex transportation or infrastructure programs for local governments, counties, or municipalities.
Ability to build, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
Responsible for financial performance on projects, managing cash, budget, and schedule to meet goals.
Sets priorities, allocates resources, and staffs projects according to the project Work Plan.
Collaborates with leadership to solve challenges and achieve business objectives.
Oversees staff recruitment, development, retention, and performance reviews where appropriate.
Leads pursuits of mega and super mega projects and supports business development and client growth.
