HNTB Corporation in Houston seeks a Project Director to lead the development and execution of the project management plan for one or more mega and/or super mega projects. You will manage contracting, controls, quality, risk and change while delivering client value and building long-term relationships.

This opportunity entails being responsible for leading the development and execution of the project management plan while building and maintaining effective and meaningful client relationships. This position serves as the primary client liaison responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of one or more mega ($5M+) and/or super mega ($25M+) projects including contracting, project controls, quality, risk and change management. The Project Director implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, this position is expected to provide leadership in the development, pursuit, and execution of large-scale program management and infrastructure initiatives throughout the Greater Houston region. The ideal candidate will possess experience leading complex transportation, public works, capital improvement, or infrastructure programs for local governments, counties, municipalities, or similar clients. This role requires the ability to build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, develop and mentor project staff, establish effective program delivery frameworks, and foster strong client relationships that support successful project outcomes and long-term business growth. Experience delivering or supporting county-wide program management services, capital improvement programs, or similar mega-program environments is highly desired.
