CBRE is seeking a Meeting and Events Associate in Mountain View to plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and events at a designated building. You will deliver world-class service to clients and visitors as part of Workplace Experience.

You'll manage pre-event setups, A/V requirements, decor alignment, post-event reporting, and KPI tracking. The role requires strong organization, basic math for cost and scheduling, and the ability to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a CBRE Meeting and Events Associate, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and day-of execution of meetings, conferences, and events.

This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee set up, refresh, and removal of food, beverage, and service items. Ensure smooth operations. Work with management to communicate department goals.
  • Confirm pre-event setup is complete. This includes a review of space configurations, and audio/visual requirements are complete. Verify decor is in alignment with the client's vision.
  • Follow up with clients pre- and post-event to confirm satisfaction. Review post-event reporting and reconciliation with management and recap results with the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client inquiries and escalated complaints.
  • Accountable for the execution of SLAs, KPIs, benchmarks, and reoccurring reports.
  • Approve head meeting and events calendar for event spaces.
  • Order event supplies as needed.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

The minimum salary for the Meeting and Events Associate position is $89,000 annually [or $42.79 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Meeting and Events Associate position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
