Job summary

CBRE in New York seeks a Meeting and Events Associate to plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and events within the Workplace Experience function. The role focuses on delivering world-class client service and seamless event operations.

You will manage pre-event setup, AV requirements, post-event reporting, and cross‑team collaboration, while maintaining data quality, process improvements, and timely communications with clients.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Must fulfill physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs; able to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Understand processes, procedures, systems within own job function.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate complex content concisely.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills for percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee setup, refresh, and removal of food, beverage, and service items; ensure smooth operations.
  • Confirm pre-event setup including space configurations and audio/visual requirements; verify decor aligns with client vision.
  • Follow up with clients pre- and post-event; review post-event reports and outcomes with the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client inquiries and escalated complaints.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, benchmarks, and recurring reports.
  • Approve head meeting and events calendar for spaces; order event supplies as needed.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve problems; suggest process improvements.
  • Impact own team and related teams; drive improvements to efficiency.

As a CBRE Meeting and Events Associate, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and day‑of execution of meetings, conferences, and events.

This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world‑class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee set up, refresh, and removal of food, beverage, and service items. Ensure smooth operations. Work with management to communicate department goals.
  • Confirm pre-event setup is complete. This includes a review of space configurations, and audio/visual requirements are complete. Verify decor is in alignment with the client's vision.
  • Follow up with clients pre- and post-event to confirm satisfaction. Review post-event reporting and reconciliation with management and recap results with the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client inquiries and escalated complaints.
  • Accountable for the execution of SLAs, KPIs, benchmarks, and reoccurring reports.
  • Approve head meeting and events calendar for event spaces.
  • Order event supplies as needed.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

The minimum salary for this position is $28.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $30.29 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
