Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for R&D Design & Development Co-ops for the Summer 2027 term in Cincinnati, OH. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tools, training on-site, and mentorship from seasoned engineers within Ethicon Surgical Technologies’ MedTech portfolio.

We seek students pursuing Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering degrees, with at least two completed semesters and a minimum 3.0 GPA, authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering (PhD considered).
• Must have completed a minimum of two semesters before start of co-op term (sophomore or above).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the full duration of the co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art tools and training courses on-site.
• Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design.
• Contribute to design solutions using CAD, simulation tools, and mentorship from engineers.
• Assist in developing lab testing and interpreting data results.
