Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to document, deliver, and administer medications to residents under physician guidance, with strong customer service and adherence to policies and regulations.

The role supports daily living activities, coordinates with pharmacy and physicians, and participates in narcotic counts, safety drills, and resident care tasks in a high-quality hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Experience handling medications preferred but on the job training is available.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care as assigned.
• Observe, verify and document medication ingestion or application as directed.
• Notify supervisor if medication is not administered correctly and document reasons.
• Maintain confidential records on resident medication and care per procedures.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician, verifying dosages.
• Participate in narcotic counts at the start and end of shift and report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers in resident daily living activities and support care duties as needed.
• Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Ensure resident safety and comfort; assist in safety drills as required.
