Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a field service technician to install, configure, and upgrade software for automated medication dispensing devices in hospital settings. You will travel to facilities to perform upgrades, provide post-setup checks, and ensure devices are calibrated and functioning properly.

Travel is extensive, with 28–32 hours per week on assignment, including some nights/weekends. Must have an associate degree preferred and 1+ year of technical experience; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in biomedical, IT, electronics, or related field
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in field technician role preferred
• Must be able to travel extensively for field-based service assignments
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
