Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a field technician to travel to hospitals and perform software upgrades for automated medication dispensing devices, install and configure hardware, and ensure ongoing operation.

The role requires extensive travel, an associate degree in a related field, 1+ year of technical experience, and willingness to meet hospital credentialing and vaccine requirements. Shifts are 28–32 hours per week with some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
