Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing Executive for MedSurg to support development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies, reduce spend, and deliver client value.

You will draft and redline contract terms under guidance and participate in full sourcing lifecycle with internal teams and suppliers. This hybrid role requires 2+ years in MedSurg, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or Healthcare Administration.
• 2+ years of MedSurg or clinical experience required.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, negotiation support.
• Strong analytical skills with data and trend identification.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities for stakeholder alignment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hybrid role with three days in office.
• Office locations include Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN and Centennial, CO.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under guidance of senior team members and Legal.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and contributing to discussions.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers, and internal teams by gathering information and documenting updates.
• Ensure contract documents reflect updates and adhere to standards.
• Elevate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by collecting data, market insights, and supplier information.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, bid collection, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance activities, including amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare communication materials summarizing sourcing progress, opportunities, and supplier updates.
