Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a hybrid Sourcing Specialist to support development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies. You will draft, redline, and negotiate terms under senior guidance, while engaging with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to drive value.

You will assist across the full sourcing lifecycle—from data analysis and RFP prep to supplier engagement and contract maintenance—adding strong stakeholder-management capabilities to the team.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration or related field.
• 2+ years of MedSurg or clinical experience required.
• Foundational contract review, redlining, or negotiation support experience.
• Strong analytical skills with data analysis and trend identification.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities for supplier discussions and stakeholder alignment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist drafting and redlining contract terms under senior guidance and Legal.
• Contribute to supplier negotiations by preparing materials and summaries.
• Support alignment among clients, suppliers, and internal teams with updates.
• Ensure contract documents reflect agreed updates and standards.
• Elevate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by collecting data, market insights, and supplier info.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, bids, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance including amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare communications summarizing sourcing progress and updates.
