Job summary

White Mountain Regional Medical Center is seeking a Relief Charge Nurse (Medsurg) to lead nursing teams, coordinate patient care, and ensure policy adherence during designated shifts. This role partners with the CNO and administration to support a patient-centered culture and safe nursing practice across MedSurg.

The position is part-time on night shift with benefits, requiring holiday and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two or more years of experience as a MedSurg Nurse.
• Two or more years of experience as a Charge Nurse.
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: BSN and ED/OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead bedside shift report and use acuity tool for patient assignments.
• Manage staffing and productivity; coordinate admits/discharges/transfers.
• Attend IDTs; lead daily huddle; participate in disaster management.
• Ensure quality metrics are met and safe patient care.
• Work as in-house leadership during off hours when admin is unavailable.
