Job summary

White Mountain Regional Medical Center is seeking a Part-time RN Relief Charge Nurse for the MedSurg unit, nights. This leadership role supports nursing staff, collaborates with the CNO and administration, and oversees shift operations in the absence of senior leadership.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, active Arizona RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS within 30 days. Prior MedSurg and Charge Nurse experience is essential, with holiday and weekend availability expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two+ years of MedSurg nursing experience.
• Two+ years of Charge Nurse experience.
• Arizona RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate bedside shift reports and use acuity tools to assign patients.
• Manage staffing/productivity, admit/discharge/transfer processes, and IDTs.
• Lead daily huddle and disaster management, with conflict resolution responsibilities.
• Ensure quality metrics are met and support nursing staff during shifts.
• Floating to ED/OR as needed and acting as in-house leadership when administration is absent.
