Physicians Regional Medical Center - Collier campus is seeking an RN Charge for the Med/Surg unit on nights (7PM-7AM). The role oversees nursing staff, coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures compliance with hospital policies while promoting a positive work environment.

The RN Charge demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and infection control expertise to optimize patient care and outcomes on a high-acuity Med/Surg floor.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks.
• Evaluates staff performance with feedback and coaching.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and flow.
• Maintains clear communication among physicians, patients, and departments; manages handoffs and huddles.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization.
• Performs patient rounding to evaluate care and satisfaction.
• Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
