Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the MedSurg 6 East unit in Boston, MA. You will work under RN supervision providing direct clinical and support services to patients and families.

The role supports a 36-hour night schedule with potential weekend/holiday coverage. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, ability to pass competency testing, and basic math and computer skills. Experience in acute care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification with CPR current or obtained within 30 days.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• One year of PCT in acute hospital or relevant training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for MedSurg patients and families.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with bathing, feeding, hygiene, and comfort.
• Maintain clean, safe rooms and equipment; support infection control.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve quality outcomes.

Skills
