Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Midlothian, VA is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to support resident care and administer daily medications according to physician orders. You will follow the Six Rights of medication administration, use the eMAR system, and collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure safe, dignified care.

The role requires current MT certification or equivalent experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication, time-management, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification or 1+ year of senior care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willing to take additional training as required by state.
• Ability to use or learn the eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and all policies and procedures.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care; supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission to all team members on shift.
