Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with their daily medication needs. You will follow physician orders, adhere to the Six Rights, and use the eMAR system to ensure safe, accurate administration with compassionate care.

Responsibilities include direct resident care, supervising appropriate tasks by non-licensed teammates, and upholding the Bickford Mission Whatever it Takes.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician certification or at least 1 year of senior care experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Willing to take additional training as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to administer medications as ordered.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on resident medication care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift.
