Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Virginia seeks a Medication Technician to support resident care, administering daily medications with compassion and preserving dignity. Evening and overnight shifts are available on a dynamic, caregiver‑focused team.

Role requires following the MAR and Six Rights, using the eMAR system, and coordinating with clinical leadership. Candidates need an active MT certification (or 1+ year of seniors care), CPR/First Aid, and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician certification or at least 1 year of senior care experience
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to utilize Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication care
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members on shift
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift
