Job summary

Spring Arbor of Albemarle is hiring a Medication Assistant to support Assisted Living residents with medication administration and daily care under supervision. The role emphasizes building relationships with residents and being part of a caring team.

Qualified candidates should be 18+, with 1+ year experience with seniors, and hold a Medication Training certification. Background checks and a drug-free workplace policy are required, with opportunities for part-time or full-time schedules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines
• Help residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers and mobility
• Communicate with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in and help lead resident activities
• Deliver friendly, courteous service with resident satisfaction as a top priority
• Approach every encounter with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented way

What You'll Do

• Approach every encounter with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented way
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines
• Help residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
• Communicate closely with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in and help lead resident activities
• Deliver friendly, courteous service with resident satisfaction as a top priority

What You Bring

• At least 18 years of age
• 1+ year of experience with senior adults highly preferred
• Current Medication Training certification
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening
• Willingness to comply with our drug-free workplace policy

Nice to Have

• CNA or NA license/certification, in good standing (state-dependent)
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by your state)
• Experience with computerized resident documentation systems
