Country Meadows Retirement Communities is hiring a Medication Technician to support residents in a home-like setting. The role involves administering medications, building relationships with residents, and contributing to overall health and comfort.

The position offers part-time shifts (6am-2pm and 3pm-9pm) and PRN options, with benefits and opportunities for advancement through training.

Qualifications

• Direct-care experience preferred.

• Up-to-date medication certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents, administer medications and treatments, and monitor wellbeing.
• Provide social and emotional support while encouraging independence.
• Manage medication cart and ensure supplies are current and accurate.

Pay starts at $18.50-$20.50/hour, based on shift preference, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience.

Medication Technician Responsibilities:

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments, observing their day-to-day behavior and outlook and ensuring their comfort and overall positive well-being.
• Provide social and emotional support, while encouraging residents’ independence.
• Manage the medication cart for complete, up-to-date supplies and quality control.

Medication Technician Requirements:

• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Up-to-date medication certification requirements preferred.
• Highly organized skills.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
