Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking a Med Tech (CMT) for a part-time 3pm-11pm shift in Frederick, MD. You will manage medications for residents in a home-like setting, building relationships while supporting overall health and well-being.

Requirements include MD Board of Nursing-licensed CMT, with direct-care experience preferred, and English proficiency. Benefits include healthcare, retirement plan, PTO, and tuition assistance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments, observing their day-to-day behavior and outlook and ensuring their comfort and overall positive well-being.
• Provide social and emotional support, while encouraging residents’ independence.
• Manage the medication cart for complete, up-to-date supplies and quality control.
• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Pay ranges from $19.25- $23/ hour, based on experience, with the opportunities for shift differentials on evening and overnight shifts.

Med Tech (CMT) Responsibilities:

Med Tech (CMT) Requirements:

• Licensed Certified Medication Technician with the MD Board of Nursing and in good standing.
• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Up-to-date medication certification requirements preferred.
• Highly organized skills.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
