Job summary

American House Senior Living Communities is seeking Medication Technicians to join our wellness team. You will administer medications to residents safely and accurately under the supervision of a licensed nurse and direction of the Wellness Director, covering day and night shifts.

You will prepare, document, verify MARs, maintain medication cart security, observe residents, assist with activities of daily living as needed, and communicate clearly with physicians and homecare providers.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective communication with residents and staff.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Completion of a state-approved medication administration course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications following policies and procedures.
• Document medication administration accurately at time of service.
• Verify resident identity and record drug details on records.
• Maintain medication cart security and conduct narcotic counts.
• Communicate shift-end updates to oncoming staff.
• Observe residents for changes and report to Wellness Director.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Follow safety, infection control, and safety protocols.
