Job summary

The Chateau at Gardnerville Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a Medication Tech to assist with medication administration and resident care. The role requires CMA certification and the ability to communicate in English with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• CMA certification is required and must meet state requirements.
• At least six months of relevant experience with older adults preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration and documentation according to physician orders and state rules.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents and monitor for changes in condition.
• Support pharmacy providers and nursing staff in medication-related tasks as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and safety standards for medication handling.

Highlights of the Medication Tech Position:

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and meet the state's specific certification requirements (required)
• A minimum of six (6) months relevant experience working with older adults (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively (in English), both verbally and in writing with residents and staff
• Responsible for medication assistance or administration of medications, according to the state requirements and written physicians’ orders.
• Ideal candidate will be caring, organized and able to multi-task.

The salary range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00.
