Job summary

Experience Senior Living Team is seeking a Medication Assistant to support residents with timely medication administration and compassionate care. The role emphasizes adherence to state guidelines, accurate documentation in our digital system, and strong communication with the Health and Wellness team.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacies, performing room checks, and responding to resident needs with empathy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State medication certification required.
• ESL medication competency on hire per state rules.
• First Aid and CPR certification required if state law/regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and administer medications according to state regulations.
• Order and receive medication; communicate with pharmacy if not available.
• Maintain resident records in the digital platform daily (medication distribution, incidents, observations).
• Perform room visits and room checks regularly; assist with resident care as needed.
• Respond promptly to resident requests, including emergency pull cords and family inquiries.
• Monitor safety and well-being; report changes to Health and Wellness leadership.
• Audit rooms for self-administered meds and ensure guideline compliance.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers to address resident issues.
